Dream Team Architecture: Formations, Booster Cards & Progression
1. Tactical Playstyles & Manager Proficiencies
In eFootball™, on-pitch tactical execution is dictated by the managerial playstyle chosen for your Dream Team squad. Each tactical approach alters defensive lines, pressing intensity, player spacing, and attacking movement patterns:
- Possession Game: Focuses on patient, short-passing buildup and positional dominance. Midfielders create passing triangles while forwards drop deep to facilitate seamless distribution.
- Quick Counter: Immediately triggers aggressive vertical runs from attacking players upon regaining possession, supported by high-intensity counter-pressing in the opponent's third.
- Long Ball Counter: Organizes a compact defensive shape that absorbs attacking pressure, then exploits transitional spaces through rapid, direct passes to clinical wingers and center-forwards.
- Out Wide: Maximizes field width through overlapping full-backs and traditional wingers delivering pinpoint crosses (enhanced by the Edged Crossing skill) to dominant target-man forwards.
- Long Ball: Prioritizes physical aerial duels, flick-ons, and second-ball dominance in the opposition's defensive half.
2. Booster Cards and Epics
Booster Cards introduce specialized parameter enhancements that elevate key player attributes beyond the standard 99 cap, reaching up to 102+ in critical metrics such as Acceleration, Finishing, Passing, and Physical Contact. Epic and Legendary cards (such as Ronaldinho, Johan Cruyff, Patrick Vieira, and Lionel Messi) feature bespoke player animations, distinctive ID physics, and dual-position booster versatility.
3. Training Programs & Skill Allocations
Every player card possesses Progression Points that can be allocated to optimize agility, defensive awareness, or shooting consistency. Players can also utilize Skill Training Programs to assign up to five additional specialty skills, including Double Touch, Sole Control, One-Touch Pass, Through Passing, Blocker, and Interception.
